What age do you teach?
We offer age-appropriate classes for everyone! Our Kidini Karate program is perfect for ages 3-6, Kids Karate Small Samurai Karate for ages 6-8, Small Samurai Karate 9-12 and Teen and Adult Karate for 13+. During booking, you'll select the specific class time that matches your child's age and skill level.
Is karate safe for my child?
Absolutely! Traditional karate emphasizes control, respect, and discipline. We focus on forms, techniques, and character development rather than aggressive contact. All instructors are background-checked and trained in child safety protocols.
What should my child wear to their first class?
Just comfortable athletic clothing they can move in - like gym shorts and a t-shirt. We provide a free uniform with the Mahato Karate Introduction Special. No special equipment is needed to get started!
How long does it take to earn a Black belt?
For children training consistently, it typically takes 4-6 years to reach black belt. Adults often progress faster, around 3-4 years. However, the real benefits - confidence, discipline, fitness - start showing within the first few weeks!
